Bleeding Kansas was when people started moving from the North and the South to Kansas. When they got there they fought for popular sovereignty. Popular sovereignty is doctrine that the people of federal territories should decide for themselves whether their territories should enter the union as a free or slave free state. The pro-slavery side one Bleeding Kansas.

There were many people involved in Bleeding Kansas from many different parts of the country. There was a man named John Brown who was in bleeding Kansas. John Brown fought on the abolitionists or the people against slavery. There was also pro-slavery groups and a wide variety of thieves were also involved.

Bleeding Kansas took place in Kansas. The fights of Bleeding Kansas began in the town of Lawrence. This town was at that time a free-state settlement. The whole war was fought in what was then the Kansas Territory.

Bleeding Kansas had some effects on the United States that helped for the better in the long run. Bleeding Kansas helped spread the idea across the United States that slavery was wrong. Bleeding Kansas also showed the other states that you should fight for what you believe in. Bleeding Kansas had a positive effect on the United States.

Bleeding Kansas can teach Europe about how to run a country. Bleeding Kansas can teach Europe that you should defend your rights and opinions. Bleeding Kansas also can teach Europe that slavery is a big problem. Also, that they should do some thing about it before it becomes a problem.

Dred Scott's fight for freedom

1.A slave named Dred Scott was taken by his master from the slave state of Missouri. He took him to the free state of Illinois. He then went to he then went to Wisconsin and lived there for a long time. His master was ordered to bring him back to the slave state. Dred Scott sued the government the case went to the Supreme Court Dred lost the case and had to continue being a slave.
2. Dred Scott was a slave from Missouri. Peter Blow was Dred Scott’s master.Dr John Emerson took ownership of Dred Scott after peter blow died. Chief justice Roger B Taney was in charge of the Dred Scott vs. the government case.
3.The Dred Scott case took place in many locations. Dred Scott lived in many places including Virginia and Alabama. In 1830 Dred Scott moved St. Louis Missouri with his owner Peter Blow. When Dred Scott’s owner set him free he went to the Wisconsin territory.Dred Scott eventually was brought backto live in Missouri.
4. This case had a great impact on the United States. It was a start on the freedom of slaves. Also it was closer to giving slaves more freedom. This gave many slaves hope to a free future.
5.This case also greatly effected Europe. Although this case gave slaves less rights it had a positive impact on Europe. This case caused tension between the north and south which gave Europe the opportunity to take advantage of the conflict. This gave Europe the chance to make a possible expansion of land into the US.
